Sharsheret is the Jewish breast and ovarian cancer community. Their skilled social workers and genetic counselor provide culturally sensitive support to women and their families, and their educational outreach professionals raise awareness and offer critical information and resources across the country. Today, Sharsheret’s expertise and programs are more important than ever, as we continue to see the effects of having delayed one’s medical screenings and appointments due to the COVID pandemic.
Sharsheret is once again hosting its annual Sharsheret Summit: Pink, Teal, and You from October 13 – 31. The Summit includes national virtual symposiums on the latest hot topics in breast cancer and ovarian cancer, hundreds of education and awareness-raising programs with community partners, education about the latest screening guidelines and the most up-to-date data and materials.
Annual West Coast Dash:
The Second Annual Sharsheret West Coast Dash is happening on Sunday, September 10 at Dockweiler Beach in Playa del Rey. Over 1,000 cancer thrivers, caregivers, and friends will gather for our run/walk which will include a 5K, 10K, Family Fun Race, Virtual Option and Race Festival. We would love for Stephen Wise to have a team at the race and we can help with creating that if you’d like. You can also use this link for more information.
