As Jews, we have so much to celebrate throughout the year. We have Hanukkah, Sukkot, Pesah, Shavuot, Purim, Simhat Torah, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Yom Ha’atzma-ut, and most importantly, Shabbat every week.

Imagine the child who helps decorate the Sukkah, who recites the four questions in front of the entire family at the Pesah Seder. Or the child who parades with the Torah through the synagogue doors onto the street. Or the child who plants trees at Tu BiSh’vat, brings fresh fruits on Shavuot, gives Mishloah Manot at Purimand welcomes Shabbat weekly as they help lead their family in the blessings. By the time that child is three years old he or she understands that to be Jewish is to be enriched by a calendar brimming with joyous celebration.
