Offer a Prayer
by Rabbi David Woznica
One of the most meaningful ways of bringing God and Judaism into one’s daily life is to recite a prayer before eating a meal. For example, saying the hamotzi acknowledges that God is the source of our food and reminds us to be grateful. Eating, which can become a mundane activity, is now elevated to a religious act. If you are eating alone, then you might offer the prayer quietly. If you are with your family at home or at a restaurant, then take a moment to say the prayer together.

Homes for Heroes: 13 New Beds Purchased for Veterans
Thanks to your generosity we have raised enough funds to purchase 13 NEW beds for our veterans, including all bedding, sheets, and pillows. These are beds are so important for our heroes, who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor of their new homes. We still need your help! Our heroes deserve beds and the VA needs our assistance. Wise is pledging to keep going and your contribution will allow us to purchase a mattress, bedframe, and bedding. YOU can be a hero too and help us fulfill our promise to get our vets off the floor and into a bed.
