Daniel Wordsworth, CEO of Alight
In the newest episode of Search for Meaning, Rabbi Yoshi sits down with Daniel Wordsworth, CEO of Alight (formerly American Refugee Committee), for an inspiring conversation about how an abundance of human kindness can truly reshape the world. In this frank discussion, Daniel recounts numerous stories of how he has witnessed individuals making a difference by helping others—and how we can tap into that same extraordinary power ourselves. During Sukkot, we take time to remember our own story of wandering, of being refugees, and consider ways that in the modern world we may help others; we know Daniel and his story will inspire you. Here are incredible photos Daniel shared: 1) Volunteer medical staff providing aid during an ebola outbreak. 2) His staff assisting an LGBTQ refugee community with a fashion show. Our Soulful Shabbat musicians, featuring Yarone Levy, Larry Steen, and Jeff Stern, were asked to record the piece in the studio of Grammy winning producer, Michael Lloyd.
