Yasmin Ansari began her career at Camp Wise in 2018 as a Head Counselor and was promoted to a Unit Head position in 2021. She spent the 2022 summer at Camp Wise working alongside the Directors as the Programs Coordinator, where she organizes daily programs, facilitates the functions of both staff and campers at Camp and on Field trips, and manages the Specialists and Leaders in Training (JCIT/CIT) program. She has years of experience working with youth of all ages in Camp and School settings, in addition to managing her own private Swimming and Waterpolo lessons. Yasmin has a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is currently in pursuit of a Masters In Speech-Language Pathology. During the school year, Yasmin and the Directors attend Professional Leadership Conferences to create updated and effective team training programs for our pre-Camp Staff Orientation week. A few of her favorite camp activities include telling endless Dad Jokes, organizing various themed Camp Carnivals with the JCITs, and joining groups in Water Play. She looks forward to working with the Camp Wise Community to continue ensuring that camp remains a safe and fun place for all!
