Stephen Wise Temple helps you beat the heat during High Holy Days with air conditioning, shade, and evaporative coolers

Stephen Wise Temple is excited to welcome our community and guests to campus for High Holy Day services, starting on Sept. 15 with Erev Rosh Hashanah. We are aware that it is once again expected to be very warm for High Holy Days this year, and we want to assure you that, as always, our top priority is the health, safety, and wellbeing of our community.

Donate to Wise buttonWe have taken the following steps to make your worship experience as comfortable as possible:

  • Our air conditioning units are fully serviced immediately prior to High Holy Days, and we will have technicians standing by.
  • Our outdoor space on Nahmias Plaza will provide evaporative coolers to keep things comfortable for our attendees.
  • All of our outdoor seating on Nahmias Plaza will be covered by a large shade structure.
  • We will have a hydration station with water and cups available.

Additionally, we encourage you to dress appropriately for the weather.

If heat is a concern for you, please select tickets for our air-conditioned Sanctuary service in advance. If you have already reserved tickets, you can call 310.889.2230 or email [email protected] if you would like to request a ticket change.

Additionally, as COVID and season illnesses are on the rise, please stay home and stream if you’re feeling unwell. Masks are optional in all our services. If you feel it is safest to join us from home, you can see which of our services will stream live HERE.
