The House of Adonai

By Cantor Emma Lutz

“One thing I ask of Adonai, only that do I seek: to live in the house of Adonai all the days of my life.” (Psalm 27:4)

Rabbi Yoshi is making headlines! Cayton Family Donates $1,000,000 to Wise Readers to Leaders

An idea only gains strength through the commitment of people of conscience who dare to change the status quo.  The Cayton family has heard the call and strengthened our ability to ensure equitable educational opportunities for Los Angeles’ youth in a myriad of ways. Their commitment to Wise Readers to Leaders has, since our inception, been a “family affair” and has been transformative — through Andrea Cayton’s Board participation, the support of their children who have worked with us, and now through an incredible gift that ensures the program’s success and growth.

We are excited to announce and launch the Cayton Family Summer Readers Literacy Program.  It is through gifts like these that we are able to make meaning and change the world—one kid at a time!

Thank you to the Cayton family for their unprecedented support of Wise Readers to Leaders!

To see how you can help Wise Readers to Leaders, contact Program Manager Olivia LaViolette at 310-889-2254 or at [email protected]. You can also visit our website at WiseReaderstoLeaders.org to learn more.

Katz Photo of the Week: Mystery Revealed

We couldn’t put one over on Lisa Baniesraili, Ann Ellenson, and Coach Jeff Starr, who all correctly guessed that last week’s mystery photos were of the brand-new Wise Wildcats logo on our gym floor. It’s becoming real! We cannot wait to show you the finished project: stay tuned for details about our dedication ceremony.

Dedication Opportunity: Be Boulder. Shalom Garden is shaping up! This tranquil spot for worship, community, and reflection will soon be complete along with Katz Family Pavilion and you can have your family’s name permanently etched in the fabric of the space by dedicating one of our boulders. Visit our website or contact Jessica Lebovits to learn more.
