Stephen Wise Temple and Schools are proud to announce that Jayne Rosen has formally started as our new Aaron Milken Center Director, effective July 1, 2023.
Jayne served as AMC Interim Director for the past five months, but has been with Wise since 2018. During her time at Wise, Jayne has served as the Director of Early Childhood Admissions, and as AMC Assistant Director.
With over 25 years of early childhood educational experience, Jayne brings an experienced and practiced hand to the position, as she guides AMC through the construction of our transformational new $32 million facility.
“It is with a combination of excitement, gratitude and passion for all things early childhood that I embark on this journey with our students and their families,” Jayne says. “Together we will continue to build lifelong friendships in our classrooms and in our community.”
Before coming to Wise, she spent 16 years at the Bay-Nimoy Early Childhood Center at Temple Israel of Hollywood, where she served as a parenting teacher, classroom teacher, director of admissions, and assistant director.
Jayne is known for creating interactive events and curricula that promote connection and support a life-long love of learning. Her inventiveness, passion, and commitment earned her an 18-month fellowship from the First36 Project, a groundbreaking pilot program by Simms/Mann Institute which provides professional development to facilitate strong, meaningful bonds between parents and children.
In her time at AMC, Jayne has developed outstanding relationships with the teachers, parents, and students in our school.
“It is an honor to help raise children that are happy, developing intellectually, emotionally, and socially, and are on a path to being lifelong learners,” Jayne says.
Recently, Jayne earned a certification in Positive Education, which applies the principles of positive psychology, neuroscience, and integrative health to education, so that staff, students, and communities can flourish and build healthy, fulfilling relationships. Jayne was part of the first cohort of the 18-month program, which was made possible by the Builders of Jewish Education and the Jewish Community Foundation.
“Jayne has excellent attention to detail and an amazing work ethic, which are greatly appreciated by everyone she works with,” said Head of School Tami Weiser. “She is smart and passionate, and has the skill set to take our school to the next level.”

Aaron Milken Center at Wise is the premier private Jewish early childhood education program in Los Angeles. More than a preschool, Aaron Milken Center is a vibrant community of educators, families, and friends, united in the commitment to nurture the whole child on their educational and spiritual journey. Drawing from the values of Jewish education—gratitude (hoda’ah), respect (kavod), and repairing the world (tikkun olam)—Aaron Milken Center cultivates an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all.
Rooted in four decades of academic excellence at Stephen Wise Temple and Schools, Aaron Milken Center stands as a testament to the community’s unwavering dedication to Jewish education. Now under construction, the new state-of-the-art home of our program embodies the visionary spirit of Rabbi Isaiah Zeldin (1920 – 2018), who long ago recognized the profound impact of providing a safe environment for children to learn and thrive.
