On April 30, Stephen Wise Temple’s Team Wise Walks will join hundreds from across Southern California in Television City for Jewish World Watch’s Walk to End Genocide. Though this is the first time the event has been held since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wise has participated in the walks for 10 years. Let’s join together and be part of Wise’s largest walking contingent ever! You can join our team or donate to the cause by clicking HERE.
Walkers will meet under the Wise banner at the walk start, and follow a 1.8-mile course around Pan Pacific Park, The Grove & Farmer’s Market. The Walk is an opportunity to stand up with those who face oppression worldwide. By participating, you join a community of compassionate and socially conscious activists who are committed to raising awareness and helping end the cycle of violence and persecution faced by so many communities around the globe.
Jewish World Watch supports relief efforts in conflict zones around the world. An organization founded by our own Wise members, Save the Syrian Children, receives JWW funds and is currently supporting ongoing earthquake relief efforts in Syria.
Why We Walk
WE WALK … so war-torn and earthquake-afflicted Syria can receive shipments of medical supplies safely to over 30 hospitals.
WE WALK … so Ukrainian women and children get the psycho-social services needed in absorption centers.
WE WALK … so children in the Democratic Republic of Congo are saved from mines and militias and have an opportunity to learn.
WE WALK … so Rohingya refugee children in Cox’s Bazaar and Bhasan Char, Bangladesh have access to education in their native language.
WE WALK … so women in Tigray are safe within their communities.
WE WALK … so Darfuri refugees in Chad have access to healthy food year-round.
There are millions worldwide who need our support.
Together, standing side by side with those who seek justice, we can make a meaningful impact.
WE WALK … to say, “We are with you.”
