SKIRBALL EXHIBIT TOUR
The Skirball is opening its doors early for students from both Melton schools in the greater Los Angeles area. We will have time to explore the exhibit “Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America” in small groups with guiding questions. Then we will gather together to debrief and take our learning to a deeper level.

MIKVEH TOUR
Once a year, we take a tour of the American Jewish University Mikveh (across the street) during the week first year students study about Mikveh in Rhythms class. In light of student’s new learning, this tour is valuable, even for those who have been to the Mikveh before. Please sign up on our Mikveh Tour Sign Up sheet in class.

MELTON SHABBAT
Once a year, the entire Melton family shares in a Shabbat service followed by a traditional and Shabbat dinner. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend. This is a unique opportunity for Melton students and their families to feel part of the group of over 100 Melton learners at Stephen Wise Temple. If you are a Melton student, and are interested in attending, please contact us at [email protected]

TASTE OF MELTON
Can a 4,000-year-old text speak to a 21st century world? Find your answers at our Taste of Melton event! After the success of our first three years, we are pleased to offer two more beginning classes of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning this September. Melton is one of the most powerful and fulfilling ways to learn about Jewish ethics, history, philosophy, and practice. Melton classes meet once a week for 30 weeks for two years (we don’t meet in the summer). Every year, we have had a waiting list for each class offered, so we invite you to attend for the opportunity to enroll during the event!
