When possible, Wise members may be invited to attend in-person Shabbat services. We will observe all safety protocols set in place by the LA County Health Department so that we can celebrate Shabbat outdoors together.
Registration is never a guarantee of attendance. Members will be notified in advance if they have been selected to attend.
A different service will always be streamed online at www.WiseLA.org/Online.
COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND RESTRICTIONS:
- If you are a member of a vulnerable group (e.g. if you are immunocompromised or over the age of 65), please stay home and watch the service online.
- If you are sick or have any symptoms of being sick (a cough, a fever, a sore throat, or any other symptom of illness), please stay home and watch the service online.
- If you have reason to suspect that you have been exposed to or contracted the coronavirus, please stay home and watch the service online.
- If you have allergies or have trouble with outdoor events, please stay home and watch the service online.
If you have been selected to attend services via the lottery:
- As you arrive on campus a security team member will check you for symptoms and your temperature will be taken.
- You must wear a face covering at all times. If you forget one, you will be provided with one. Please notify security upon arrival and they will give you one to use.
- Maintain a 6-foot (or greater) distance at all times you interact with others.
- Please do not bring any food or drinks.
- Please note that there will not be food or drinks provided prior to or after services.
- Please follow all instructions from our security and facilities teams, as well as all guidelines and notices posted on signs throughout campus.
- Seating will be assigned.
- You will not be eligible for the next lottery in order to allow others a chance to attend.
How the lottery works:
- The lottery is open to Wise members only.
- Tell us the exact number of people in your party (adults and children). They must all be members of your immediate household. Extended family (including grandparents) who are Wise members must complete their own submission form.
- Let us know if you are observing a yahrzeit that evening.
- We will end the lottery on Thursday, October 29 at 12 p.m. and notify selected families that day.
