After four years of dreaming, design, and fundraising, Stephen Wise Temple and Schools’ transformational Aaron Milken Center for Early Childhood Education will break ground this fall.

The first hammers, though, began swinging two months ago, when we embarked on a renovation of our Lower Village.

Wise SchoolThe Lower Village is the section of our early childhood program adjacent to the Freedman Pool. Thanks to our generous donors, the $350,000 renovation began on June 22. We are so excited for our children to return this fall to their newly renovated classrooms, which will feature resurfaced floors, walls, counters, and cabinets, as well as upgraded light fixtures and ceiling tiles.

The project will set the stage for the construction of the new Upper Village, the centerpiece of our new $30 million Aaron Milken Center facility. When we move forward with the Upper Village renovations, we will also enhance the yards in the Lower Village, completing this stage of the project.

The Aaron Milken Center is Stephen Wise Temple and Schools’ early childhood education program. It is an innovative, educational experience tailored to the needs and expression of the whole child in an inclusive Jewish community. You can learn more about the new facility, our philosophy and curriculum, our programs, and our parenting center on the Aaron Milken Center website.
