Stephen Wise Temple Red Cross Blood Drive

Mark December 15 on your calendar for our next Stephen Wise Temple Red Cross Blood Drive. Since March of 2020, Stephen Wise Temple and Schools’ Red Cross blood drives have helped hundreds of people in need. Our last blood drive in June collected 25 pints, upping our community’s total to 241 pints collected since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. With our nation still facing its worst blood shortage in over a decade, it’s time to do our part again.
Every day, doctors and nurses at hospitals are forced to make impossible decisions about which patients should receive life-saving transfusions over others. Blood supplies were so thin that in January, the trauma center at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center had to close down because it did not have enough blood to meet demand. Due to Hurricane Ian and other weather-related issues, the Red Cross has less than a two-day supply of blood. By donating, you can literally help save lives.
The Red Cross team follows strict guidelines to ensure that giving blood is safe and effective. Appointments are required, no walk-ins will be allowed, and social distancing and safe hygiene practices will be in place.
Please join us and give the gift of life! Each donation can save up to three lives. To make your appointment, please click here to sign up for your spot or contact Nina Minton via phone at 818-200-3445 or via email at [email protected].
For donating, you will receive a $10 Gift Card by email, thanks to the Red Cross’ partners at Amazon.
