On Sunday, Oct. 30, Rabbi Ron Stern and Aaron Milken Center Director Keri Loventhal accepted the Next Generation Award on behalf of Stephen Wise Temple and Schools at the Beit Issie Shapiro Gala. The award recognizes Wise’s commitment to teaching about the wonderful work of Beit Issie Shapiro to our children from early childhood through B’nai Mitzvah.
Many Wise members were on hand as Noah Fakheri, Micah Melamed, and Donny Sipes presented the award.
In his words of acceptance, Rabbi Stern emphasized that Beit Issie reflects the best of what the Zionist and Jewish mission of Israel brings to the world. Beit Issie Shapiro is Israel’s leading developer and provider of innovative therapies and state-of-the-art services for children and adults across the entire range of disabilities impacting over half a million people annually. The organization serves all those in need throughout Israel, regardless of creed, and employs an equally multi-cultural team of professionals.
As witnesses to the excellent work of this fine organization, our students receive firsthand knowledge of Israel’s true commitment to being a light for the nations. We at Wise are proud of Beit Issie Shapiro, our student supporters, and our own community’s commitment to its success.
