Whether you’re a Mahj Queen, Bam Beginner, or somewhere in between, there’s always room at the table. Come with your foursome or solo — fabulous new friends await for your weekly dose of community and connection.

Brand new to the game or brushing up on your bams? Join us for two beginner-friendly lessons before the official summer games begin!

Join us oceanside on Friday, July 25 at 6:15pm for Shabbat on the Beach with friends from Kol Tikvah at Crescent Bay Park in Santa Monica and enjoy a joyful community gathering filled with music and beautiful views. This event will also include a YAD meetup and music led by our cantors-in-training. We’ll be seated on grass with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Bring a picnic!

Wise joins with other LA synagogue communities on Sunday, August 3, to commemorate this solemn and meaningful day on the Jewish calendar.

Please join us for our Jewish mini-festival of love on Friday, August 8 at 6:15pm featuring special love-themed music outside on the Aaron Milken Center Outdoor Commons. Bring your closest loved ones for this heartwarming celebration!

Rabbi Micah Lapidus (who grew up here at Wise!) and his songwriting partner and gospel singer, Melvyn Myles, return for their second visit on Friday, August 22 at 6:15pm. We will also be joined by our dear friend Bishop Fisher and his singers from Greater Zion Church for this beautiful and uplifting gospel Shabbat. Wind down after the first week of school with a calm, reflective Shabbat celebration on Friday, August 29 at 6:15pm, as we close out the summer and mark the first Shabbat of the month of Elul, our time of spiritual preparation before the High Holy days.
