Longtime Stephen Wise Temple member Rabbi Corinne Copnick is officially launching her sixth book, Miracles Are What You Make of Them.
The Montreal-born Rabbi Copnick, 87, is a touring author with the Jewish Book Council. During her rich life, she has been a radio actress, an art gallery owner, an adult educator, a guest rabbi on ocean cruises, and a dayan in rabbinic court.
From the book’s description:
“A beautifully crafted book about the many faces of hope. Rabbi Corinne Copnick’s life experience has been a discovery in the expression of hope, culminating in this fascinating confluence of spiritual clarity and personal life experience.
“Miracles Are What You Make of Them is an oasis of hope in our chaotic world. Written from the perspective of an elder, learned Jewish woman, Miracles resonates with Biblical and Talmudic insights highlighted by real-life stories, joyfully reflecting a life well-lived.
Miracles Are What You Make of Them describes the “Will to Continue” and the “Will to Hope” as intertwined—along with the impetus to act on them—at any age: ‘If we believe that possibilities we have only dreamed about can actually come into being … and if we believe that the unseen … will help us in ways we can’t yet understand in our own time, we are never too old to teach younger generations how to be hopeful too.'”
