This spring we asked all of you to make your voices heard by participating in the 2018 Wise Survey and you responded in full force, inspiring us with your feedback and support. We received even more responses than our 2013 and 2015 surveys – a testament to the passion, engagement, and involvement of our dedicated community of members. Our partners from Measuring Success informed us that Wise’s response rate was 45% of our membership – the largest number they have ever seen from a synagogue community (topping their next highest by a 5% margin!) Wise School families in particular responded to the tune of 70% participation – also far above the nationwide standard.

Here are just some of the highlights from the vast amount of feedback we received:

  • We were grateful to learn that an extraordinary 82% of you are likely to recommend Stephen Wise Temple and Wise School to your friends, an increase over both 2013 and 2015.
  • Our collective commitment to Judaism and Jewish values also continues to increase: 82% of you believe that the Wise vision of Jewish life resonates strongly with you and your families.
  • A rousing 88% of you find our clergy to be welcoming and accessible, surpassing our synagogue peer groups by a 5% margin.
  • You believe that our Board of Directors and other lay leaders are representing your needs and hopes very strongly, showing an 11% increase over 2013 in satisfaction with lay leadership and transparency.
  • One of the key measures of parent satisfaction in a day school is the influence on the Judaic spirituality of a child and Wise School did very well in this area. We had 92% of responders agree or strongly agree that Wise School supports their desired Jewish development for their children.

 

We also received hundreds of individual comments, suggestions, words of support and inspiration that will us guide our Wise community for the years to come.

Our partners at Measuring Success are providing us with mountains of information about all of our schools, our programs, our community members, and more – we will make great use of the very extensive data to help make improvements to the Wise experience based on your feedback and your suggestions.
