
Rabbi Yael Farber

Rabbi Yael Farber received her Rabbinic Ordination from HUC-JIR in 2025. She received her M.A. in Hebrew Letters in 2023 and is now pursuing her M.A. in Jewish Educational Leadership from HUC. Originally from Tarrytown, NY, she grew up attending Woodlands Community Temple and graduated from Dickinson College with degrees in Religion & Judaic Studies.
Rabbi Yael worked at Community Synagogue of Rye, NY as the Director of Youth Engagement & Informal Education and a URJ CLASP Fellow for the URJ Northeast Camps (2017-2020) and as the Social Media Manager & Web Designer (2020-2023).
Rabbi Yael has worked in communities across New York, Western Massachusetts, Central Pennsylvania, and Northern California. Rabbi Yael served as the student rabbi at Congregation B’nai Torah in Brentwood, CA, the Retreat Coordinator at Congregation Or Ami in Calabasas, CA, and as a Chaplain Summer Intern at PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Downtown Los Angeles.
Rabbi Yael joined the Stephen Wise Temple community as the Rabbinic Intern for two years and spent two summers at Camp Wise LA, most recently as the Program Director. Rabbi Yael is thrilled to be continuing at Stephen Wise Temple as an Education Intern.
