By Rabbi David Woznica

As civilization advances, the sense of wonder declines.  Such decline is an alarming symptom of our state of mind.  Mankind will not perish for want of information; but only for want of appreciation… What we lack is not a will to believe but a will to wonder.

– Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel

Life experienced through a religious prism encourages us to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. To lose that sense is, in many ways, to lose our humanity. God gives us the ability to wonder and wonder brings us closer to God. In a world of rapidly advancing technology and increasingly endless possibilities may our wonder and appreciation increase in equal measure.
