This past Saturday, more than 50 children and adults gathered together with Rabbi Yoshi Zweiback, Rabbi Josh Knobel, and Cantorial Intern Josh Goldberg to celebrate Shabbat and Passover at Stephen Wise Temple’s Mountaintop Shabbat Festival Service.
“This is amazing,” said new member Radfar Eliasi, who joined his bride Olga for a special wedding blessing. “We’ll absolutely make this part of our monthly experience.”

One of the most popular ways to celebrate Shabbat morning is our monthly Mountaintop Shabbat. Once a month, Wise community families gather in our idyllic Geldin Chapel to enjoy fresh air, fresh tunes, and an unparalleled view of the San Fernando Valley.
Featuring inspiring music from our Shabbat morning band, meaningful lessons from our rabbis, and opportunities to share family blessings, Mountaintop Shabbat offers timeless tradition mixed with modern sensibilities. With engaging Torah study and dance designed to delight Jews of all ages, it is the perfect way to introduce Shabbat to children, and the perfect foundation for a weekly family tradition.
