On Friday, June 16, Stephen Wise Temple and Schools installed its new Board of Directors, which will officially begin its term on July 1.

At the end of our Shabbat Evening Services, Senior Rabbi Yoshi Zweiback, Senior Cantor Emma Lutz, Rabbi David Woznica, Rabbi Ron Stern, Rabbi Josh Knobel, Rabbi Sari Laufer (joining from Israel), and Cantorial Intern Andrew Paskil welcomed Board members incoming, serving, and outgoing, onto the bimah for a special song of thanksgiving and blessing.

“We really could not exist as a community, we could not exist as our temple and schools without your extraordinary self-sacrifice,” Rabbi Yoshi said. “You give and you give and you give in so many different ways. You are instruments of the Divine, and you help us to be instruments of the Divine. We are grateful to you.”

Following the service, the Board and their family members repaired to Zeldin-Hershenson Hall for a celebratory meal, as well as the official installation ceremony. Outgoing president Steve Bram shed tears as he was presented with a gift by Rabbi Yoshi and executive director Sharon Spira-Cushnir. After Bram was officially discharged, new president Jeremy Rosen was installed, and shared his vision with those assembled.
